3B Weekly Update
June 4th, 2023
Greetings 3B Families,
As we welcome the month of June, it is hard to fathom that the school year is nearing its end. Summer break is right around the corner. What a remarkable year it has been!
The grade 3 teachers are busy wrapping up our units of study and conducting final assessments measuring student growth. It has been a pleasure watching our students grow and become more self-assured in their learning.

Academics
Reading - Unit Wrap-up , final assessments, end-of-year activities
Writing - Unit Wrap - up , final assessments, end-of-year activities
Math - Review Grade 3 concepts & end-of-year activities
Homework - Students will read for 30 minutes daily to reinforce positive reading habits and practice skills on IXL and Zearn.
Announcements
Move-Up Day, Sunday, June 4th
The move-up day usually lasts about 30-40 minutes. Students will have an opportunity to meet their next year’s teachers, explore the classroom, get a better idea of what to expect when they return to school in the fall, and just have some fun!
Important Dates
June 4th - All library books due; Move-Up Day
June 6th - The last day for ASA’s and Tutoring
June 19th - Cultural Day
June 20th - 21st - Half Day for students
June 21st - Final assembly (during school day - students only)
June 22nd - Summer Holiday Begins
