Georgia Milestones 4th & 5th Grade Parent Guide
Within your student's report card, you will find a copy of his/her 2014-15 Georgia Milestones Individual Student Report. The Georgia Milestones Parent Guide is designed to help you understand the Individual Score Report. This guide is available on the Mulberry website. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding your child's score report.
As a reminder, the Personal Safety lessons for K-5th grade students will begin this month. The Think First & Stay Safe™ program is a research-based program that teaches specific personal safety education by way of interactive classroom lessons, classroom posters, role playing and corresponding activities. Think First & Stay Safe™ enables students to take an active and necessary role in protecting themselves from abuse and exploitation.
If you have questions or would like to review the personal safety materials, please contact our school counselor, Darcy Long, as she is more than happy to discuss this curriculum with you.
If you prefer that your child not participate in the sexual abuse and safety prevention lessons, please write and sign a note indicating your preferences and send it to your child’s teacher. Unless written documentation is received, your child will participate in the sexual abuse prevention and safety lessons.
If you are available to speak to small groups of students about your occupation on March 10th, please fill out the form in your child’s red folder and return it to your child’s classroom teacher by February 5th. We would be honored to have you join us for this exciting learning experience!
Yearbook Photo Needs:
Fifth Grade Yearbook Dedications: DUE Before January 15
Are you working on your 5th grader's Yearbook Dedication? Email me if you need an order form, and I'll send one to you. You can also download the form off your 5th grader's eClass page. Let me know if you need help! Feel free to look in last year's yearbook for inspiration.
Please don't wait until the last minute! Space is limited.
Yearbook Photo Needs:
Did you go to Holiday Hotcakes? How about the Chorus Holiday Performance? Please upload your photos!
How do you submit photos for the yearbook? Upload your photos at www.replayit.com from a laptop or tablet. There is also a ReplayIt app for iphone or android. Please tag your photos with either the teacher's name or the event name. (The app is faster...)
We strongly encourage you to send your child home the same way every day. However, we do understand that emergencies do arise. Should you need to change your child's transportation, a hand written note from home is required with a parent signature.
Phone calls and emails are not accepted.
