PRINCIPAL'S PEN

THANK YOU VETERANS
In an effort to inform our parents about our School Improvement Plan we are holding a few informational meetings. We held the first meeting at Wednesday night's PTA meeting.
Thank you to those parents that were able to attend. We had a good showing of at least 25 parents. We hope the information was helpful. We greatly appreciated your patience as we were experiencing technical difficulties. We did practice in advance but the technology did not work as well from home. We apologize for that.
I have embedded two links below. The first is the powerpoint that was presented about the JC Behavior Guidelines and the Positive Behavior Intervention Framework. The second is a recording of our psychologist Emily Peters explaining the Second Step Curriculum that is used in grades K-5. Thank you to Ms. Peters for recording this second video! You will be able to read all of the slides clearly and experience some of the Second Step videos that your child might see in class.
As we all know there are pros and cons to holding virtual meetings as they are less dynamic but more people seem to be able to attend. For now, we need to stick to holding virtual meetings and we will do our best to bring you as much information as possible in this format, as well as in our Smore.
Save the date for the next virtual meeting on Wednesday, December 15th at 7 pm. We will be reviewing the academic goal of our School Improvement Plan and presenting information on the Big Ideas math curriculum. Our special guests will be Mike Reid, Math Coordinator, Suzanne Harvey, Math Interventionist and Jimmy Librandi, Math Interventiionist.
Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Trish McGuire
