The Great Depression Crisis

The Great Depression was a global economic crisis that started in 1929. The crisis devastated the economies of many nations and led to a period of financial hardship for millions of people.

Soup Kitchen

In Washington DC in 1939, people with out jobs and no salary have no money to buy food, they had to go to soup kitchens that were created by Works Progress Administration/Volunteers of America to help them.

Stock Market Falls

Crowd gathers outside a bank that has failed, ca. 1935. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation was established during the New Deal to regulate commercial banks and insure bank losses. People wanted their money back but the bank couldn't give out any money because the bank didn't have no money at all billions of money were lost. People were upset and angry.

The Great Depression then finally slowly was ending and going back to normal in about 12 days.
