December 2020

Dear Families,

I hope that everyone had a nice Thanksgiving break filled with rest and relaxations. As we approach another break in just a couple of weeks we have a lot happening at school. December proves to be a busy time with lots of activities and learning. At Discovery School, we believe that education is a collaborative effort between home and school and this begins with daily attendance. While we understand that circumstances arise, it is the expectation of the school, that students are participating in all aspects of their day. To honor the collaborative effort between home and school, our teachers, staff, and administration will continue to reach out to families to offer support or additional resources if attendance has become a challenge.

This past week DSFC welcomed back several students to in-person learning. It has been great to see children in our building again. With students in our school building, the playground is closed to everyone else during the days and hours when students are present. Our in-person students are at school Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8-3. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation with this.

As always, please reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I hope that everyone has an amazing last month of 2020!
