Kenzen Bolyard - Grade 6

Kenzen is a professional actor! He has appeared in commercials and on Discovery Channel and just finished an HBO movie. His goal is to portray a superhero on TV because they fight injustice. When he isn't acting, Kenzen likes martial arts, sports, and raising Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies. He is grateful for Inspire Charter Schools because it enables him to pursue his dream.

Walker Murphy - Grade 11

Walker was recently named Student of the Month at Merced Community College for his proven resiliency, determination, and optimism in the face of adversity, his perfect 4.0 GPA, and his overall amazingness! He is a Junior at Yosemite Valley Charter School and is set to graduate this spring from both high school (as a valedictorian) and with an AA from Merced College. He plays the keyboard and sings in a band, teaches piano lessons, has earned his Eagle Scout award, and is a teaching aide and tutor at Merced College. Attending all three years of high school with Inspire Schools has made it possible for him to accomplish his goal of starting at a university with two years of college already completed.

Evilasio Da Paz - Grade 8

At his request, Evilasio began playing violin by just watching YouTube videos and copying what they did. He eventually started taking private lessons and is now proficient at reading music and performing for various audiences. In his free time, Evilasio likes to play the violin for residents in our local Senior Care Home. He goes from room to room of those who are bed-ridden and plays songs for them, such as “You Are My Sunshine” and “Amazing Grace." He also enjoys teaching himself to play the theme songs of his favorite cartoons and movies. Currently, his most special person to play for is his 1-year-old niece, Symonne.
