Adolf Hitler became the leader of the Nazi party through his rise in German politics. He served as Chancellor of Germany in the years of 1933 through 1945, 11 of those years he was considered a dictator. During he reign his actions led to World War II and the Holocaust.

Hitler wanted to increase the German Army's power and expand Germany's territory. Most of the countries just allowed the German's to take over their cause they didn't want to go to war after they just ended World War I. In 1941Hitler violated a non aggression pact with the Soviet Union and the troops from Germany claimed a lot of the territory before being stopped.

During the war Hitlers military judgement became erratic. As the war persisted the army and economy of Germany was deterioting along with Hitler's health. In late 1942, German forces began seeing defeat at the Suez Canal and battles such as The Battle of Kursk.

In 1945, Hitler soon realized that Germany was going to lose the war. Soviets pushed the German forces back into Western Europe and their Allies were making their way into Germany. Hitler and his newly wed wife were informed of the assassination of Benito Mussilino. The day after his and his wife's wedding they we're afraid of falling into enemies control so they hid in a bunker and committed suicide together.
