# FRACTION & DECIMAL

### By : Aimi Taniguchi

## Fraction : Addition and subtraction

## EXPLANATION

Step 1 : First you find least common denominator. And write least common denominator

on both fractions.

Step 2 : Multiply numerator that how many you multiplied on denominator. Do it on both

both fractions.

Step 3 : Put same denominator on answer and add numerator and put it on answer.

Step 4 : If you can change it to mix number, change to mix number. And if you can simplify it, simplify it.

## Example :

## YouTube :

## Fraction : Multiplication

## explanation

Step 1: Multiply numerator.

Step 2 : Multiply denominator.

Step 3 : Put the answer and if you can change it to mix number, change to mix number and If you can simplify it, simplify it.

## Example :

## YouTube :

## Fraction : Division

## explanation

This is how you divide fractions....

**keep**first fraction same and

**change**division to multiplication.

Step 2 : **Flip **denominator and numerator of ** **second fraction.

Step 3 : Multiply numerator and denominator.

Step 4 : If you can change to mix number, change to mix number and if you can simplify it, simplify.

## Decimal : Multiplication

## Explanation :

Step 1: First you move decimal to right of once place.

Step 2: Multiply normally.

Step 3: If you got answer, move decimal from once place of answer that how many times you moved decimal on step 1.

## Example :

## YouTube:

## Decimal : Division

## Explanation :

This is how you divide decimals...

Step 2 : Move decimal of divisor (outside) as many digit as you have.

Step 3 : Move decimals of dividend (inside) as how many time you moved on divisor (outside).

Step 4 : Pull up the decimal of divisor (inside) on quotient.

Step 5 : Divide normally.
