RBBCSC Parent to Parent Newsletter

UPCOMING BOARD MEETING
Information about the monthly meetings can be found at this link. Most meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of the month.
FREE BREAKFAST TO ALL RBB STUDENTS EVERYDAY!
Students need to come to the cafeteria each morning and enter their codes. The buildings with the older students have a "Grab & Go" system to make it easy for the students to take their breakfast to the classroom to avoid any delay to the start of school.
A NOTE FROM THE DISTRICT NURSE
Parents should also have their child's updated vaccination records on file at his/her school.

Harmony Updates
Even though many of you updated Harmony with changes to your email address, physical address, and phone, Harmony also needs to have the correct arrival/dismissal plans for your child.
It is important that all information in Harmony is updated through-out the year! It is crucial that addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and emergency contact information are correct through-out the school year.
Parents who have a child who will NOT be picked-up/dropped-off at their residence will need to fill out an Alternative Address form at the school.
Volunteer Background Checks
Those who do not pass the background check will not be able to enter the buildings - and will be notified by school personnel.

Dismissal Directions & Changes
Parents/Guardians of EPS/EIS Students
PLEASE make sure your child's teacher knows exactly how your child needs to be dismissed on a regular schedule and to send a dated note or call the front office with any changes. This schedule must be in Harmony. Please let the office know if Harmony DOES NOT match your child's plans. Do NOT email teachers or office staff with changes on the same day. There is a chance that the email will not be read in time.
Please only call the schools with changes to transportation before 2 p.m. (standard procedure). EPS has a designated phone line (#7) for parents to leave a voice message of any dismissal changes. The staff will create a note for your child based on the information you leave. It is important to have these changes done before 2 so that the staff can call you if there are any questions.
If dropping-off or picking-up at EPS/EIS, please review this document. It is important to stay in the lane you were assigned. At dismissal, staff calls the students in the order of the vehicles and when changes are made in line, it creates confusion and delays. Please DO NOT park on the crosswalks.
Parents/Guardians of EJHS Students
If dropping-off or picking-up at EJHS, please review this document. For those students who walk, please remind your child that it is safest when they use the crosswalks and to not cross in the middle of the roads.

MEET OUR NEW EJHS ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
I am very excited to be part of the team at Edgewood Junior High School. I was born and raised in Marion, Indiana. I moved to Monroe County in 2014 and worked at Tri-North Middle School teaching 7th grade Eastern World History and 8th grade U.S. History. Last academic year, I taught U.S. History and Government at Bloomington North High. I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with family. I am looking forward to a great year of building relationships and exceeding expectations at EJHS.
