We have finished the very first nine weeks at Nancy Tarvin Elementary today. You will have access to your child's report card on Wednesday, Oct. 13th in Home Access Center. It has been a great 9 weeks and we appreciate your support and for sharing your children with us!

At the board meeting last night, Dr. Gearing announced that we will be moving to the yellow phase for Covid protocols. This means we can host events on campus and allow volunteers. We still ask that you don't come to eat lunch since that is a time masks are off. Once we move into the green, then we can allow visitors for lunch.

I hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend as our staff is given the opportunity to do some new learning in areas they want to improve. This also brings more excitement and new ideas into the classrooms.

We are so excited to invite you to “trot” along with your student(s) in Tarvin’s First Annual Turkey Trot on November 12th! Come take on the obstacles together or cheer your student(s) on from the sideline. We are looking forward to bringing the community together and celebrating our health going into the holiday season.

Run times for all grade levels will be during their regular Innovation times:

Early Childhood: 8:00-8:40 am

2nd: 8:55-9:45am

3rd: 9:50-10:40am

5th: 10:45-11:35am

1st: 12:05-12:55pm

Kinder: 1:00-1:50pm

4th: 1:55-2:45pm

The Reflections Program encourages children to find their own voice through various mediums of artistic expression. With this year's theme, "I Will Change The World By...", students are encouraged to make their message clear through dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts. Entry forms will be available in the front office and the Tarvin PTA Facebook page. All entries must be turned in no later than October 31. Students can turn in their projects, with their registration form to our Reflections submission bin in the community room or by email to tarvinptaarts@gmail.com.
