Traditional Chinese clothing consists of a cross-collar that wraps the right lapel over the left. Its tied with a sash and a blouse and skirt and sometimes a long gown.

Where the Journey Begins- CMS
Our trip to China will begin here at Colleyville Middle School (CMS). From here we will travel to many locations in China and see the capitol. First, we will travel to the magnificent capitol, Beijing, where our tour will start.

First Stop- Beijing, China
First we stop in China's capital, Beijing. Along with being the capital it is one of the six ancient cities in China. This city is also one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Due to the modern roads and frequent flights, Beijing is easy to travel around.
Historical/National Landmark- Great Wall of China
The Great Wall of China, one of the world's greatest wonders, stretches for about 8,851.8 kilometers from east to west China. Unfortunately, because this sight has been around for over 2,000 years some sections are either gone or in ruins. Regardless of the damage, it is still one of the most visted tourist attractions in the world. . This wall was built entirely by hand through many soldiers, prisoners, and locals.
Fun Place to Visit- Beijing Zoo
The Beijing Zoo is the oldest zoo in China with more varieties of animals than most zoos in China. Just for a few Yuan (equivalent to one dollar) you can see many animals from around the world. Not everyone has the same opinion about the Beijing Zoo, but everyone who went there can agree one one thing, the giant pandas are amazing and cute.
Did you know fortune cookies aren't a traditional custom in China, but was invented in San Francisco in early 1990?
Fun Place to Visit- Double Courtyard Hotel
The Double Courtyard Hotel has a 96% approval rating and is the best rated hotel in Beijing, according to TripAdvisor. The hotel has outstanding service along with great location, sleep quality, rooms, value, and cleanliness. The hotel supposedly has great wedding and honeymoon suite that takes you back in time. When staying in the hotel, you don't have to worry about getting a good view because all rooms overlook one of two courtyards. if you decide to revisit this hotel, your room will always look different because each room is a different size and is uniquely decorated. Another great feature of this hotel is that everyone speaks great English so it's easy to communicate.

Historical Sight- Summer Palace
The summer palace is a great way to go back in time and see what life was like for the emperors centuries ago. The palace was originally built in 1750, but sadly faced great damage in the war of 1860. Fortunately, the palace was restored in 1886 to its original appearance and foundation. Once a resort for emperors in the summer, is now a retreat for visitors to see old bridges, lakes, temples, buildings, and even the lake. This sight has almost 5 stars and out of 4,480 reviews, only six people didn't enjoy their visit. People say this should definitely not be missed with the beautiful views and a definite life-long memory.
Famous Restaurant- Tingliguan Restraunt
The Tingliguan Restraunt has a five star rating and is the best restraunt in Beijing according to TripAdvisor. This restraint is said to have a comfy "make yourself at home feeling". Most people who visited loved the experience and wish to back again. They have amazing food and value along with superior service and atmosphere. Service is determined to make sure everything is going well and tries to provide you with the best experience possible. With the authentic taste of China and the welcoming atmosphere, this place can satisfy the meanest critics.
Famous Museum- National Museum of China
This spacious 4 1/2 star museum is a wonderful place to visit and view artifacts of ancient China. Visitors say the Ancient China exhibit is the best part of the museum and should not be missed. Along with that many people love the Terracotta Warrior Pieces. This huge museum is a great way to go back in time throughout the ages.
Natural Landmark- Mount Huagshan (Yellow Mountain)
The Yellow Mountain's great veiws definitely should not be missed. This 4 1/2 star mountain has a very rewarding hike and is quite magical. This mountain is outstanding year round but turns into a magnificent winter wonderland. But if you can't come in the winter, you shouldn't miss the beautiful sunrise and sunset. If you want to witness beautiful scenery this is the place for you.
Natural Landmark- Yangtze River
The Yangtze River is the longest river in China stretching 3,900 miles from east to west China. With the unbelievable gorges and surrounding green vegetation the area look bright and luscious. The river is said to be mighty and relaxing along with being a beautiful trip. The 3rd longest river in the world is definitely a fun place to visit in China.
