Description
Operate or control nuclear reactors. Daily you will inspect equipment, gather information, and process the information.
Education and Skills
You will need to major in Nuclear & Industrial Radiologic Technologies/Technicians. Also some skills you'll need are
Operation Monitoring-Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Operation and Control-Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
Reading Comprehension-Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Monitoring-Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
Critical Thinking-Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problemsAbout
The job out look won't be changing. Starting salary is about $79,970. I'll be working at a nuclear power plant and some of the risks working there is that I might get exposed to radioactive poisoning and there could be a nuclear meltdown.
High School Preparation
At Leyden I can take Exploring technology and Digital electronics so I can learn some basics about technology and electronics. I can join clubs like engineering and computer club.
