Husky Howler
May 14, 2021
Dear Hill-Roberts Families:
Our third and fourth-grade students did a great job with MCAS this week and each has only one more session to go:
- Gr. 3: Thursday, 5/20 (math)
- Gr. 4: Tuesday, 5/18 (math)
Please remind your child(en) to be extra quiet in school on those days to give the students taking the test the quiet they need to be able to concentrate and do their best work. Our teachers will discuss this with their classes as well, but it helps to reinforce the message if it comes from families too.
Also, while the CDC has recently changed its guidance on mask-wearing, we are required to follow the guidance set forth by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) which has yet to make any changes. This means we continue to require that students, families, and staff must be masked on school grounds.
Sincerely,
Frank W. Rich, Principal
Registration
In order to help us more accurately build our classes for next year, please encourage anyone you know living in Attleboro with children entering grades K-12 who is not currently registered for school to do so as soon as possible. This also helps families guarantee their child(ren) will be able to attend their neighborhood school. Students who enroll after a school has reached its maximum enrollment are transferred to another school in Attleboro.
Registering a student can be done using the following link: Online Registration 2021-22

This Week in PE
Hello Hill-Roberts Families!
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged their children to bring a water bottle and sneakers with them on their child’s physical education day at school! These two things allow for our students to stay safe and hydrated while participating in the gym or outside. Our Hill-Roberts Huskies have been working hard learning about the rules of golf, and some even got the opportunity to create their own miniature golf course. All students agreed golf is a good way to test our accuracy, aim, and patience. Some students also connected how golf is a game that can be played while staying socially distant from others or groups. As the warm weather begins to shine down on us, we will be spending more time outside participating and learning more about different sports, skills, activities, and keeping our bodies healthy.
Any questions, comments, or concerns please email me: ksandrade@attleboroschools.com
Thank you,
Katia Andrade, PE Teacher
