Heart of Education Nominations
Nominations are now open for the 2022 Heart of Education Awards. Please visit the website at https://theheartofeducation.org/ for more information. Anyone can nominate a CCSD teacher who goes above and beyond. Please take a few moments to nominate a teacher who has made a difference in your life!
We expect all KO students to demonstrate Cougar PRIDE in all they do, both in and out of our school community. Cougar PRIDE means we have make POSITIVE choices to impact our growth, show RESPECT in all of our interactions, we demonstrate INTEGRITY, show DETERMINATION, and apply EFFORT to our academics.
We are asking for parents to engage their children in conversations about proper behavior and the expectations outlined in the CCSD Student Code of Conduct. Behaviors which impact the learning environment and detract from our PRIDE will not be tolerated. We appreciate your co-operation and support in helping make K.O. a school filled with Cougar PRIDE!
Dress Code and School IDs
We have noticed an increase of students out of Standard Student Attire as well as students who do not have their Student IDs. Please have your student review the following information and contact the school if you have any questions.

SCHOOL IDs and LANYARDS
All students are required to wear a visible K.O. ID at all times when on campus and should have it on as they walk into school every morning. All students will be provided an ID and lanyard for this purpose during school picture day regardless of if parents purchase picture packages. It is important for students to keep track of their ID lanyard, so it is recommended that students store it in their backpack outside of school hours to avoid misplacing the ID lanyard. If you lose your ID or lanyard, you may purchase replacements at the Student Success Office.
