Changes in the office for 2016-2017

I am sad to say that Mrs. Kayla Taylor, who has been our Assistant Principal for three years, will be moving on next year, She has the opportunity to be at one school (Sunset Valley) full time and no longer have to travel. This is a wonderful change for her and her family.

With her leaving we had a spot to fill, we were given the opportunity to hire an administrative intern. We will share this person with Lee's Summit Elementary. I am happy to announce that we hired our very own Mrs. Stacy Orf to fill this spot.

Stacy has worked to complete her Specialist Degree in Administration, participated in the LSR7 Leadership Academy, and has proven herself to be a great leader at HPE. I will miss her being a classroom teacher, but know we will benefit even more from her work as an administrator. Please welcome Mrs. Orf to her new role beginning July of 2016.

Spring Flower Fundraiser!

I am very excited about the Spring Fundraiser that PTA is doing this year. It is all about Spring and Flowers! You can order your spring flowers and plants, pick them up at HPE, and help us raise money for the students. A true WIN-WIN. The student will bring home order forms and information on Monday. We will also have the order form linked to our web-page in case you need more. We do appreciate your support of the PTA and the fundraising efforts they promote.
