4:12YOUTH
November 2017
God is Faithful!
When we think about our faith walk, we can find ourselves asking the same question, “was it all for nothing?” We do all the prep work, we go to church, to youth group, we are faithful to our devotion time and prayers, we spend time serving others, and we do our very best to live our faith out like Jesus asks us to. As we walk out our life journey we sometimes get this feeling that everything is going to be perfect, nothing could go wrong when I’m doing all the right things.
And then things do go “wrong”…….you don’t get the job, you don’t make the team, you get news that you didn’t get into your college of choice, or maybe you didn’t get the grades that you expected after a ton of hard work. For some we will experience setbacks, disappointments, and hurts. “Why me?, I have done all the right things, this shouldn’t happen to me!!” Was it all for nothing?
But, during deer season, hunters will get up early every morning to do it all again, they trust in their preparations, and they listen and watch patiently. When it comes to our faith walks, specifically when things aren’t going our way, we too have to get up the next day, trust that God is in complete control, hope and trust in our preparations, and wait patiently on the Lord for His time. And as we deal with the many issues of life we have to rely on the truth that we have come to believe over the years of preparation and more importantly look and listen for Gods voice and leading in the early morning darkness.
YES!! It’s not only worth it…..it’s EVERYTHING! And although we will have rough days and things will not always go our way, God remains faithful to each of us! He will always be by our side and will always see us through even the darkest of days! Continue to “prep”, trust in the Truth that you believe in your heart, be patient in all things, look and listen for the Lords voice, and no matter the circumstance or outcome of any situation you will be victorious through Christ!
“Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD.” Psalm 27:14
