7th Grade Attends Texas Heritage Day
On May 11, 2017,n 7th grade students traveled to Bois D’Arc Cowboy Church in Bonham, to attend Texas Heritage Day. The event was sponsored by the members and friends of Bois D'Arc Cowboy Church and the focus was on Texas and Cowboy culture. Students were exposed to a variety of speakers, demonstrations, and activities and were provided lunch during the event. From milking goats to participating in Native American ceremonial dances, the students enjoyed a day full of hands-on, immersion learning that they will not soon forget. 7th grade Writing teacher, Diane Yakel, for planned and coordinated the field trip and looks forward to making it an annual activity.

S.T.A.R. Card Field Trip
Beloved LHR Custodian, "Cap'n" Ron Moore, was one of the staff chaperons on the trip and he had a ball. You'd never know it was his first field trip in over 30 years. A good time was had by all and we are so proud of these students for their dedication to excellence.
