School Rules Reminder!
It seems that Spring Fever has hit some of our students early this year. Please remind your child/children that certain things are NOT to be brought to school. Some of the items that have been showing up at school are: cell phones, i-pods, electronic games, "fidget spinners," Pokemon cards, Tech Decks, etc. Not only does the usage of these items and toys disrupt the learning process in the classroom, but some students have reported instances of having these items stolen. Please be reminded that we do not have lockers and the coat hook area is not supervised during the day. Students should not leave any valuables in their coats or backpacks.
Would you ever have “talked back” to your teacher or Principal when you were in school? Recently we have been addressing many students for being disrespectful by talking back or challenging the adults in the building. I believe much of this comes from television and movies where talking back or attempting to “pull one over” on the adults is glorified and portrayed as funny. Please speak with your child about showing proper respect for ALL students and staff. Disrespect and insubordination are violations of our school code of conduct and will be addressed accordingly with detentions and possibly suspensions.
A message from Whitney PTA
staff how much their daily work means to us. Whitney has about 50 staff members that help our kids. Thank you very much for all that have signed up to send
something in to school, our luncheons are looking great! We still need some help for Friday the 19th dessert spectacular. Details are in
the following link on SignUp Genius. Let's make it great for our Whitney staff. Thank you
for your support.

A few weeks ago your child brought home a Thank You card that should be written for their homeroom teacher. They also brought home 2 bookmarks that go along
with our reading theme for the year... these can be made for anyone on staff that is special to your child. Please encourage your children to complete
these, the students' contributions are a staff favorite. If your items have been misplaced, just have your child make their own creative Thank You card.
There are extra bookmarks available, if they ask their teacher. Please return all items back to class, teachers have been asked not to peek! Again, thank you
for all your help.
If anyone is able to help set up from 10:30 to 11:00, or cleanup from 2:00-2:30, on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, please email me directly. I appreciate any
help!
If you have any questions, please email me at mkuznik@roadrunner.com
