Last Monday in October!
This Monday is starting as busy as last Friday! We are in the last week of October, flying into November. Thanksgiving will be here before we know it.
The weather for Thursday (Halloween) looks to be wet. I will watch the skies and Minute Forecast as to weather or not we can have parents parade watch on the play pads or in the gym. If in the gym, we will have lunch benches and stage for seating. We will also be asking parents to leave the gym/lobby area at the conclusion of the parade for the safety of students as they exit the building during dismissal.
If you haven't already, please send the names of classroom volunteers to Melissa so she can have name tags prepared for Thursday. Traditionally, if a parent come to volunteer who isn't on the classroom list, they are not allowed back into the classroom that day.
Halloween afternoon is release time for staff. You are welcome to stay at Morgan if you choose to do so, as the building will be open and accessible.
Friday, November 1 is the official end of the 1st Marking Period. Report card information is located below. Report cards will be sent electronically after elementary conferences are completed. You can also share report cards during conferences.
No one came forward with a staff Halloween theme, so looks like we are all on our own this year. My go to is always Harry Potter, so you may see my Ravenclaw robes again!
Thinking of you all this week as we work through this sugar rich holiday. While it is hectic and the kids are overly excited, it is fun to see the wonder, the anticipation, the fun, and silliness through their eyes.

Elementary Schools have two videos to help with report cards. The first video is how to enter the information in PowerSchool for the report card. Attached are blank report cards to help teachers follow along with the video (1A). The second video is how to print the report card after the information is entered in Unified Classroom.

9:30-10:20: Fifth Grade
10:30 - 11:20: First Grade
12:20 -1:10: Kindergarten
1:20 - 2:10: Third Grade

I also let parents know that we would NOT be calling students for early dismissal at the conclusion of the parade as it is too confusing and chaotic during that time. Parents were advised to meet their child outside at dismissal time instead.
AESOP Usernames and Passwords

- AESOP Absence Reporting System
Utica Community Schools will be migrating to an upgraded Frontline Insights Platform (AESOP absence management) system for all district personnel that is required to report absences through the AESOP online reporting application, utilize AESOP to accept vacant positions and personnel that maintains access for reporting purposes. The effective date for this upgrade will be November 1, 2019. Please review the following information regarding individual action items.
Prior to November 1, 2019, log in to your AESOP account and ensure that an active email has been entered in the system. On November 1, 2019, you will receive an invitation email to upgrade your account by creating a new username and password. If you do not respond to the invitation and try to log in with your original credentials, you will be prompted to create the new username and password before logging in.
