Happy National Counselor's Day to our SMS Counselors! Thank you for all that you do!

Parking Lot
Car Riders: we are stressing the importance of following our traffic patterns for arrival and dismissal. Cars are not allowed to line up in front of the building and park/drive between cars in the employee parking lot.
Doors open at 7:35 for car riders, 7:40 for bus riders. Please be sure to line up around the building and allow for traffic to flow safely and appropriately.
Staff are only permitted on the left side of the parking lot. Cars stay to the right when entering our parking lot.
We expect our adult drivers to follow these rules and support our system. Please allow yourself time to follow this process each morning and afternoon. If we work together, traffic will run safely and smoothly and all will enter and exit in a timely fashion.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Congratulations to the 8th grade Orchestra
BRAVO!
Congratulations to the 8th grade orchestra on an amazing concert last Tuesday with the High School Chamber Strings. Our students performed some very challenging repertoire alongside some of Strongsville High School's finest musicians. The orchestra was conducted by Mr. Andrew Hire, Mr. Brandon Tyson, and Ms. Kim Taylor. The concert is available to view on SCS TV.
We would also like to recognize six of our outstanding 7th grade orchestra musicians as well for being accepted to the Ohio Music Education Association District 4 Honors Orchestra. Luke Huber, Avery Needham, Katie Bowers on violin and Rory Needham, Isaac Storm, Caleb Bissell on cello will represent Strongsville Middle School at this year's Honorsfest. They will be in an orchestra comprised of students from 8-10 other schools from Northeast Ohio. They will be working with a guest conductor and then perform a concert in early March. We are so proud of our outstanding musicians!
