Our before-school language program is starting back up again, as well, for students in grades 1-4. Multiple levels of Spanish and Chinese Mandarin will be offered for a 20-week session beginning on September 30. Please click here for more information.
Students of the Week: Students of the Week (previously known as Stars of the Week) will be starting Monday, September 12th. We are looking for 4-6 volunteers Mondays from 9:15am-10am and 1 volunteer for the one PM Kindergarten class. We won't be meeting during weeks with a Monday holiday or shortened weeks due to holidays. Younger siblings are welcome to join us.
We need help from volunteers to congratulate and interview the selected students, send them to the main office to meet with Mrs. Ann Marie Reinke or Mrs. Mindy Zellner, give them a Student of the Week spirit stick and help put up the completed interview sheets in the display case. This year we are tying Student of the Week to the PeaceBuilders program the school has recently implemented, so each student will be chosen for a specific reason. Come help us celebrate these deserving students!
If you are able to help volunteer, please contact Jen Phoenix at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can sign up at:
LUNCHTIME: We are looking for a couple of parent volunteers to help during lunchtime. There are 2 shifts 11:15 to 12:15 and 12:15 to 1:15. The responsibility consists of helping the kids (especially our K-2 students) open their milk, yogurts, and other food containers they may struggle with. Some traffic control is also needed at the recycle stations. This is a great opportunity to spend lunchtime with your kids since our experience has been the kiddos love having Mom/Dad hanging out at lunchtime.
PICTURE DAY: Picture day is on September 13th. We can use several parent volunteers to help. Volunteers are asked to help with traffic control and some grooming, if necessary. There is a morning session and an afternoon session. I believe the morning runs from approx. 9:30 to 12 noon and the afternoon runs from 12:30 - 3:00. You do not have to commit to the entire 2 hour sessions, any time you have to help would be greatly appreciated!
Please contact Kassi Eckert at 237-5957 if you're available to help with lunchroom duty or Picture Day. Thank you in advance for your support.
Maple Dale Milers: The fall session will start Wednesday, Sept. 14th and we are looking for volunteers to help run this wonderful program! Please click here to sign up.
