Holy Family Updates

February 24, 2023

Dear HFRCS Families,

Happy Friday! It was a short but busy week here at Holy Family. We had mass on Ash Wednesday with Monsignor Bransfield and Stations of the Cross with Mr. Dominic yesterday.

Thank you to all the families who came out and celebrated our faith with us.

Terra Nova’s begin next week. Just a reminder that they are different this year as grades 2 – 7 participate and there is no science or social studies. Our schedule is below.

Friday 3/3 In View

Monday 3/6 Reading

Tuesday 3/7 Language

Wednesday 3/8 Math

Thursday 3/9 Makeup

Friday 3/10 Makeup

Our next mass is March 15th at 9:30am. Our monthly virtue is Patience after St. Francis de Sales. Report Card Conferences are also rapidly approaching on March 17th . That is a virtual day for students so the students will bring home what they need the day before.

As always, thank you for your support and dedication to Holy Family and catholic education. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Mr. Elia

Alpha Youth Group

St. Joe’s Parish is starting a youth program called Alpha Youth Group. It is for students in grades 8 through 12 and the program emphasizes our faith over a series of nine meetings. Each meeting begins with a meal, followed by a presentation with a discussion. It is a great opportunity for our children. Any 8th grade student who participates will receive a dress down each week. Below is a link for the program and to register.

Hailey Lake, Joseph Webber, and Nicholas McDermond will receive the Northeastern Music Leadership Award as they were also nominated for the ensemble.

Exciting News

Congratulations to Grayson Johnson, Faith Kelly, and Sofia Pizzi. They recently auditioned for the Archdiocese Festival Band and made the cut! The Archdiocese Festival Band is an elite group of students from schools in the Archdiocese who are in 4th -6th grades. Congratulations again!

COVID Policy Reminder

At Holy Family, our number one priority will always be the safety of our students, staff, and families. We have seen an increase number of positive cases among students the last three days. Nothing to panic about, but we must make sure we are following proper protocols and taking necessary precautions. If we do not work together, we may be facing a mask mandate and/or possible virtual days if the numbers continue to rise.

As a reminder, our COVID Policy is below. So, please make sure you monitor for symptoms.

Everyone will follow the same procedures regardless of their vaccination status.

If you are exposed to someone who is positive with COVID-19

- There is no quarantine period, but masks will be strongly recommended.

If you live with a person(s) who has tested positive for COVID-19

- There is no quarantine period, but masks will be required. The length of time will be confirmed by Nurse Victoria.

If you test positive for COVID-19

- You must contact Nurse Victoria immediately. You will isolate for at least 5 days and be able to return after that time period if you are free of fever and your overall symptoms have improved. Nurse Victoria will confirm your return date and when you will be able to return to being mask optional.

Please do not hesitate to contact myself or Nurse Victoria if you have any questions or concerns.
