Turkey Trot: Fundraising Goal Achieved!
A massive thank you to our Turkey Trot team--Sarah Lento, Prescott White, and Amanda Cormier--as well as all our volunteers, who worked hard make this event a success despite the rescheduled date! We exceeded our goal raising more than $22,400 thanks to Winthrop's generous friends and families. Your support allows the PTO to continue to fund many of the great programs and events at our school, technology purchases, library purchases, and so much more!
Congratulations to our Turkey Trot student raffle winners: Grace R., Jack W., and Danny L.! They will receive gift baskets with Melrose gear, Gatorade bottles, and gift cards to either Molly’s Bookstore, Lilah Rose, or Dick’s Sporting Goods.
A special shoutout to Mr. Brady who ran laps with every grade!
Holiday Bazaar: December 13
At the Holiday Bazaar students have the opportunity to buy small holiday gifts for their families, friends, and pets (items cost $2-$4). The Bazaar shop will be set up in the APR and classes will have designated shopping times throughout the school day on December 13. View the shopping schedule here.
The Bazaar is only possible with the help of many volunteers! We are still looking for some people to assist with clean-up after the event on Dec 13.
Please contact Dr. Tracy or your student's teacher if your family is in need financial assistance. The PTO's goal is that every child who wants to participate has the opportunity to shop! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to Tai Lorizio (tainalorizio@gmail.com) or Julie Mirek (julie3917@yahoo.com).
A reminder that lunch will be served in classrooms on December 13; all lunches from home will need to be nut free.

The PTO's Hospitality Committee is looking for donations of special items to serve at the Winthrop's Staff Hot Cocoa Bar on December 20. Check out the Sign-Up Genius for details. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
