Can you believe it is May already?? This year has gone by so quickly! We are enjoying every moment!!

-Thank you so much for the donations last week! We are still in need of some pencils and glue sticks to get us through to the end of the year! Thank you!

-Gold Rush Field Trip @ Irvine Park Railroad- We will be participating in a field trip all about the Gold Rush at Irvine Regional Park and Railroad on Friday, May 6th from 9am-1pm (ish). We are still in need of 3 parents (maybe 4 depending on how many seats!) to drive to the field trip! Please email me ASAP if you are able to drive. Thank you!

-Individual Talent Show forms are due THIS WEEK to the office! You must submit a form if you would like to preform in the Talent Show on FRIDAY, MAY 13th! The 4th grade will be putting together a dance to perform as a class too! Yay! We hope everyone can make it! It is a fun evening and you will even get a chance to visit the classrooms and check out all the great learning that has been going on this Trimester!

-SAVE THE DATE-- Gold Dust or Bust will be Monday, June 13th! Times are TBD as of now! YAY!

Religion and Family Life:

-We explore God's gift of our Community (last unit!)


-We can measure and draw angles using a protractor.

Language Arts:

NOVEL- By the Great Horn Spoon

-We describe and analyze the Main characters.

-We use and identify adjectives in our writing.

-We compose 4-5 paragraph essays.

Social Studies:

-We explain why trappers and others traveled to California.

-We explore different routes to California.


-We show our knowledge of erosian and weathering on our coastline.

-We explore magnets and how they work.
