Hawk Talk

Peninsula High School - October 16th, 2020

A Message from Dr. Potts

Dear Seahawk Families,

With the fall season fully with us, we have begun to think about upcoming dates of importance. Halloween is just around the corner, and the Thanksgiving recess is not far behind. And we are not far from the half-way point in the first semester.

Late next week we do plan to send out to parents via email and also US Post a copy of the most current grade report. These grades are not official, and will not show up on a transcript. There is ample opportunity for any student to improve a grade, make up work, and take advantage of meeting teachers during weekly ILT times, or office hours daily.

For seniors, important information about graduation is included: caps and gowns, senior salutes, FAFSA and a special night for seniors close to Halloween.

For those planning on attending college or university next year, this edition of the newsletter contains information about planning and organizing that next step. Please take some time to read information and take note of important dates. Our counseling team will be happy to address your concerns and answer any questions you have about college planning.

It is our intent to serve our community and to be of assistance during these challenging times, so if you have a need or a request, or if we can be of service, please do contact us through the help button on the PHS webpage. This is monitored hourly during each school day and you can expect a swift response.

Go Seahawks.

Joe Potts, Ph.D.
