Louisville City Saver is hiring! We are looking for a part time seasonal employee to work 25-30 hours per week. It pays an hourly rate and has a mileage allowance.

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WILL HELP YOU AS YOU PLAN FOR SENIOR ACTIVITIES DURING
THE LAST WEEKS OF SCHOOL. PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION CAREFULLY.
1. Prom – Friday, April 20th at the Ice House, 226 East Washington Street, Louisville, KY 40202. Tickets are on sale
now and are $45 each. This includes a t-shirt. If you wish to bring a guest, permission forms are available in the main
office. These permission forms MUST be returned by April 13th, NO EXCEPTIONS.
2. Senior Exams – May 18th (periods 5, 7).
May 21st (periods 1, 3, 6).
May 23rd (periods 2, 4).
3. AP Exams – May 7th through May 18th.
4. Senior Clearance Sheet/Transition Survey - Complete clearance sheet and transition survey. These will be given to
you through your English class on May 14th. If you do not have an English class here at MLCHS, they will be
available in the main office. These will be turned in on May 24th after graduation practice. Clearance sheets and
transition surveys MUST be complete to receive cap, gown, and tickets.
5. Senior Awards Night – May 17th at 6:30pm in the Performing Arts Center. Local and institutional scholarships will
be presented at this time, as well as other awards. All seniors and guests are invited to attend.
6. Senior Breakfast – May 24th at 8:30am in the cafeteria. Special thanks to Hardees for making this breakfast possible!
7. Graduation Practice – May 24th 9-11:30am and May 25th 1:00-3:20pm. All seniors must be present at practice in
order to walk in the graduation ceremony.
8. Class Awards Day – May 25th 9-11:00am. At this time, seniors will be given honors, such as Valedictorian,
Salutatorian, Magna, Summa and Cum Laude.
9. Senior Luncheon - May 25th 11:30am-1:00pm in the small gym. Special thanks to Cattleman’s Roadhouse for
making this luncheon possible!
10. Caps/Gowns – These will be distributed May 24th after graduation practice. Remember that both the senior clearance
sheet and the transition survey must be complete in order to pick up your cap and gown. After you receive your
gown, please hang it in the bathroom at home (Dr. Ellison will explain).

Odyssey of the Mind:
Collins' Odyssey of the Mind teams are going to World Finals and we need your help. We will be hosting two fundraising opportunities this week.
On Saturday, May 12 from 1pm - 4:30pm we will be having a CarWash behind the Republican Bank at 1614 Midland Trail. It will be a nice and sunny day and we are sure your car and/or truck may need a good wash so stop on by and check us out!
On Friday, May 18th Collins Odyssey of the Mind will have a Sweatpants Day. Pay $1 to wear Sweatpants and feel comfortable and relaxed!

The Collins Beta Club News:
The Collins Beta Club is hosting its 3nd annual Keaton McMurray Run/Walk Saturday, May 19th, at Collins. Registration starts at 9:30AM and the race will start at 10! There is no cost to register and all donations received will go to the Keaton McMurray Scholarship fund.
The theme this year is a Fun Run, so come dressed in bright colors, costumes, derby hats, you name it...just make it fun! There will be face painting and music before and after the race. Come out to support this scholarship and help celebrate the memory of a true Titan."

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
I would be the Andrew Zimmern from the Travel Channel that travels around tasting food.

I was born one month early. I have a goal to travel to one new country each year. I have not broken any bones.

Thanksgiving because there is food involved!!!

Brother Borgia Inv. (4-28-18)
The Running Titans traveled to Louisville on Sat. April 28th to compete in the Brother Borgia Invitational at St. Xavier. Junior TJ Rawlins scored for the boys sailing 42-1 in the triple jump to capture third place. Junior Christian Carrasco upped his school record to 8-0 in the pole vault to finish eleventh. Junior Nathan Jacobs got the second major invitational double win of his Titan career by winning the shot put (46-5.75) and the discus (156-7). On the girls side, senior Hannah Cleary reached a season best 15-7.75 in the long jump to place third.
Sundown Inv. (5-3-18)
The Titans traveled to Buckner to compete in the Sundown Inv. The onslaught of the school record book continued in earnest as two records fell. Junior T.J. Rawlins upped his triple jump record to 44-5 for the win, while fellow junior Nathan Jacobs put the shot 48-6 to best the record he set last year by 15 inches. Jacobs got the third major invitational double of his career by taking the discus in 142-9. Rawlins was also second in the long jump. The boys’ 4 X 100 relay got a season best clocking of 46.18 for third, while the 4 X 800 relay team clocked 8:59 for fifth.
On the girls’ side, senior captain Nylah Smith scored in the shot (7th) while fellow senior Hannah Cleary sailed 14-6 to win the long jump. Freshman Lilly Vest scored in the mile run with a PR 5:58 (5:56 1600 equivalent) to place sixth.
Central Kentucky Conference (5-4-18)
Collins junior Christian Carrasco was the only Titan (non-scoring) entered in the Central KY Conference meet. He tied (8-0) and then broke his school record in the pole vault going 8-6.
