Montgomery Bus Boycott

By: Justin Morris

The purpose of us boycotting is so we don't have segregation for the buses. We deserve to ride the buses and to not be treated like crap. If we have to, we shall walk everywhere and not ride the buses, well ride our bikes if we have to.

Event Description

What caused the boycotting?

The boycotting started when segregation was getting serious. The blacks were treated differently and they didn't like it, so they stopped riding the buses. The buses were mostly black people riders, over 60% of the people that rode the bus were blacks. So when the blacks stop riding, the buses stopped making money and wasn't making enough to keep going. The effects were to get the courts to desegratize the buses and make them equally available to the blacks.
