Baldoz sets up 24/7 information assistance center on donations and volunteers for typhoon relief and recovery
Following the instruction of the President, Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz yesterday announced the set-up of a 24/7 information assistance center at the Fourth Floor of Cargohaus, Brgy. Vitalez, NAIA Complex, Paranaque City to answer queries from the public on the on-going relief and recovery efforts in the wake of the destruction wrought by Typhoon Yolanda.
"The information assistance is a call center with number +632-459-2131," said Baldoz, who also expanded the operation of the DOLE Call Center, increasing its personnel by 12 more staff, to complement the government's information assistance operation in Paranaque City.
"The information assistance number, +632-459-2131, and the DOLE Call Center hotline, +632-527-8000, are now in operation and call center personnel accept calls from the public to provide detailed information on how, where, and what to donate; how and where to volunteer; who to contact for missing relatives; who to contact to request for relief operations in areas not yet reached by the government; and where to check for updates," said Baldoz.
She also said the Labor Communications Office, headed by Director Nicon F. Fameronag, is coordinating information updating for sharing with those involved in relief and recovery. The Labor Communications Office can be reached at 527-3000 local 625, or email at laborcommunications@gmail.com or dole_lco@yahoo.com.
