The DENTAL CLINIC is coming soon! The Children's Clinic of Oak Park and River Forest Infant Welfare Society will be here at Pershing on Tuesday April 25th through Thursday April 27th for FREE Dental Exams FOR ALL OUR STUDENTS. Students in grade K and 2nd are required by the State to have a dental exam; this service would allow you to fulfill that requirement. If you would like your student to participate, you must complete a permission form. Kinder & 2nd Graders will be bringing home permission slips on Monday. Anyone else that is interested in taking advantage of this free opportunity, please contact your child's teacher or stop in the office and see Nurse Danielle Humes to pick up a form. ¡Hola padres de Pershing!

¡Próximamente la CLÍNICA DENTAL! La Clínica Infantil de Oak Park y la Sociedad de Bienestar Infantil de River Forest estarán aquí en Pershing el martes 25 de abril hasta el jueves 27 de abril para exámenes dentales GRATIS PARA TODOS NUESTROS ESTUDIANTES. El estado exige que los estudiantes de kínder y segundo grado se sometan a un examen dental; este servicio le permitiría cumplir con ese requisito. Si desea que su estudiante participe, debe completar un formulario de permiso. Los estudiantes de Kinder y 2do grado traerán a casa los formularios de permiso el lunes. Cualquier otra persona que esté interesada en aprovechar esta oportunidad gratuita, comuníquese con el maestro de su hijo o pase por la oficina y hable con la enfermera Danielle Humes para recoger un formulario. Hello Pershing families!

On Tuesday, April 11, your child will bring home a permission slip for an upcoming field trip. As a celebration of our One School One Book - The Wild Robot - we will all be visiting The Morton Arboretum to go on nature hikes and participate in outdoor fun! Please sign and return this permission slip by April 19. Only two chaperones per class will be selected to join us- please mark on the slip if you’re interested in being a chaperone and your child’s teacher will confirm with you.

Also, all students and chaperones will need to bring a packed lunch and water bottle in a disposable bag. If you would like your child to get a packed lunch provided by the school, please mark that on the permission slip, as well, so we can have it ready for your child on the day of their field trip.

This trip will be outdoors, rain or shine, so your child must be dressed appropriately for the weather. The dates for the trips are:

May 1: Kindergarten and First Grade

May 2: Second and Third Grade

May 3: Fourth and Fifth Grade

El martes, 11 de abril, su hijo traerá a casa una hoja de permiso para una próxima excursión. Como celebración de nuestro libro "Una Escuela Un Libro" - Robot Salvaje - visitaremos el Morton Arboretum para hacer caminatas por la naturaleza y participar en diversión al aire libre. Por favor, firmen y devuelvan este permiso antes del 19 de abril. Sólo dos acompañantes por clase serán seleccionados para unirse a nosotros - por favor marque en la hoja si usted está interesado en ser un acompañante y el maestro de su hijo confirmará con usted.

Además, todos los alumnos y acompañantes deberán traer un almuerzo para llevar y una botella de agua en una bolsa desechable. Si desea que su hijo reciba un almuerzo para llevar proporcionado por la escuela, por favor marque eso en la hoja de permiso, también, para que podamos tenerlo listo para su hijo en el día de su viaje de campo.

Esta excursión se realizará al aire libre, llueva o haga sol, por lo que su hijo deberá ir vestido adecuadamente para el tiempo que haga. Las fechas para los viajes son:

1 de mayo: Kindergarten y Primer Grado

2 de mayo: Segundo y Tercer Grado
