The Penndale Guidance Department is keeping our students and families in our thoughts as we are all facing new challenges and navigating uncertain times.


In this newsletter, we will be providing some tips and resources that may be helpful, as well as information on how to complete the PA state-required Naviance assignments and Career Plan for each grade level.

ATTENTION STUDENTS!

This is the perfect time to get caught up on any work you might owe! Check Google Classrooms, Infinite Campus and reach out to your teachers with questions if you need assistance.


The end of the 3rd Marking Period is March 27, 2020, but students will be allowed to turn in outstanding work beyond that date. Students should communicate with their teachers directly as soon as possible about deadlines for work that is owed.

COURSE SELECTION DEADLINE

REMINDER! If you have any changes you would like to make to your course requests for the upcoming 2020-21 school year, please contact your grade level counselor prior to the May 1st, 2020 deadline.

NAVIANCE

Naviance Student provides a number of resources in one place, including several inventories and assessments to identify your student's learning style, personality, and career interests. These results will allow your students to discover and explore potential careers that match their specific skills and interests.

We strongly encourage all students to complete their grade-level assignments prior to the reopening of school and our course selection deadline of May 1, 2020.*

NAVIANCE LOGIN - TROUBLESHOOTING

Naviance recently required all students to reset their password to a new 10-digit SSO login. If you have not already reset your password to this new format, please follow the directions below to reset your password on the Naviance login page.


  • Email your counselor to ask them to reset your Naviance password - you will receive a temporary password from them.
  • Be careful not to include spaces when you copy and paste your temporary password.
  • Deselect "Remember Me" box to clear cache/cookies.
  • Username/Email is the first part of your student email before "@stu.npenn.org"
  • Reset your password to "npenn" plus your 6-digit ID number.
  • If you have difficulty, shut down your Chromebook, and restart all applications.
