THS Earns the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award!
This honor recognizes the outstanding work your school is doing to engage more female students in computer science. Official award certificates to celebrate these achievements will arrive at your school soon. In the meantime, you can download two versions of each award badge to feature on your school's website or in other school communications.
Travis HS Course Selection Night
On Thursday, February 4th, you may come and go to Q & A sessions hosted by the THS counselors as well as teachers from various departments. Select the sessions you would like to pop into and ask a question. THS Counselors will be available from 6-7:30 pm that evening and each department will have teachers available from 6:30-7:30 pm that evening.

School Picture Information for ONLINE 9th, 10th, 11th Grade Tigers!
Online students may sign up to take pictures between 3:15 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Students must show their completed Wellness Tracker in the Skyward app and temperature check with our Wellness Monitor upon entering the building.

- Only students will enter the school for their pictures.
- Parents may pull up on the bus ramp after 3 p.m. for students to enter through the cafeteria doors for pictures. It is important that no one arrives before 3 p.m. or you will get caught in bus traffic.
- Entry and exit from the cafeteria/commons doors only.
- Masks must be worn at all times except when the picture is taken.
- If your child was not able to be on campus for the January or February picture day, information will be forthcoming on how students can upload a picture or use their Skyward picture from last school year.
- If you do not want your student to participate by taking a photo on campus please complete this short form to elect to use his/her 2019-2020 picture. Some of you may have filled out this form already from last picture day. You do not need to fill out the form again. If you did it in January we are going to process the list after make-up day.

FBISD Seeks Feedback on Calendar Options for 2021-2022 School Year
Fort Bend ISD has launched a survey to gain community feedback on three calendar options for the 2021-22 school year. The survey will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021, and the results of the survey will be shared with the District’s calendar committee before a final recommendation is presented to the Board of Trustees in February 2021.

Dual Credit Information for Current Juniors (11th grade) Only!
Juniors & Parents!
Course selection is upon us and you now have an additional option – Dual Credit!
Please watch my video to learn just a little more about what dual credit is and what we offer here at THS!
Orientation is mandatory in order to receive the paperwork to take dual credit courses– students MUST attend – parents are welcome to attend the 1st session if they would like but it’s not mandatory for parents! All orientation sessions will be virtual and only open to current 11th graders.
Orientation Dates are:
Students & Parents: Tuesday, 2/2/21 - 6:30pm-7:30pm
Students: Wednesday, 2/3/21 – 8am-8:45am
Students: Thursday, 2/4/21 – 3:30pm-4:15pm
Students: Tuesday, 2/9/21 – 8am-8:45am
Students: Wednesday, 2/10/21 – 8am-8:45am

We will offer 7 Dual Credit Courses for Seniors next year:
1) College Algebra
2) DC English
3) Learning Frameworks
4 & 5) DC Psychology paired with DC Government
6 & 7) DC Sociology paired with DC Economics
Because of the difference in how college classes and our scheduling on a high school campus work those that are paired HAVE to be paired together.
All questions will be answered in the orientation so please make sure you attend one of them if you are interested in taking one or more DC courses next year!
New Office 365 Features for Students
New features are now added to Office 365 for Students
- Planner (A To-Do app used for personal and teamwork planning)
- Stream (An Enterprise Video service where students can view videos shared with them)
- Whiteboard (Provides freeform, intelligent canvas where real-time people, ideas, and content come together)
Assignment of these new features can take up to 48 hours to complete for all student accounts.
