Columbus Christian School News
November 27, 2020
Dear CCS Family,
I am happy to inform you that the CCS Board of Education voted to return to in-person instruction on November 30, 2020. This decision was made after many prayers and hours of discussion and reviewing surveys and input from the Return-to-School Task Force. The board also has considered input from the Health Department and the Governor’s office.
One thing that was considered was the status of Bartholomew County on the Indiana Department of Health’s website. Bartholomew County remained in the orange category (2.5) this week. If Bartholomew County would have moved into the red category, we would have remained with virtual learning.
When we return to school, there are a few changes:
With the return to school, we will also be allowing our extra-curricular activities to resume. Please be looking for more information as to how many fans will be allowed to attend ballgames and other programs.
One other change to note is that when we return from Christmas Break,
I want to thank everyone who participated in our survey, provided input into this decision and, especially, those of you who have continued to lift CCS up in your prayers.
I will be praying that God keeps His hand of protection over all of you!

What's at the core of Christian education?
How well do you see? Most of us own a pair of glasses - glasses to help us see better, glasses to protect our eyes from the sun, reading glasses, glasses to "look" cool... When you put on those glasses, you see through a different lens. Your ability to see is fundamentally changed.
Christian education helps students learn to view the world through GOSPEL GLASSES. Every day, our teachers and students intentionally look at history, science, math, relationships, athletics, the arts and life through the lens of the gospel.
So what's at the core of Christian education? Listen to two of our Bible teachers explain what it really means to put on gospel glasses. What glasses do you have on today?

This is an easy way to show our teachers and staff how much we value who they are and all they do for our children. Thank you! - PTF Leadership Team
