Director News and Information
January 2016
Hi Everyone! I hope you’re all having a great week and preparing for the snow that’s headed our way. I've had an opportunity to speak with each of you (either briefly or at length) about my excitement for taking on the Support Representative position for our area. I look forward to continuing those conversations and getting to know all you over the coming months.
Scripture for Encouragement
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
Hebrews 12: 1-3
Directories and Maps
In an effort to really understand the areas our current communities serve, I’m working on identifying where the families currently enrolled are traveling from. Would you please send me a copy of your community directory with their addresses? I will not be using these to contact your families directly, it’s purely as a source of data collection. I’m hoping to get to work on this during the storm, so the sooner you can send it the better. Thanks so much!
School Choice Week January 24-31
Just a reminder that next week is National School Choice week. I’d love to have as many IM’s going on in our area as possible, so if you have one scheduled please let me know so I can add it to the calendar. Also, forward me the names and contact info of those who attended.
Information Meeting training resources - with Noble Gibbens
If you haven’t been to an IM in a while or hosted one before, here are some great resources for you to brush up on your IM presentations. As Classical learners, we can always learn and improve. I would also highly suggest that you encourage your existing families to attend one every year. As professional home educators we should consider an IM and practicum our continuing education classes, and what a benefit to our communities if the parents are really able to communicate what CC is all about.

2016-2017 Catalogs and Registration forms
- I’m working on getting catalogs ordered for each of you. If you have a specific amount you think you’ll need, please let me know, otherwise I’ll make an educated guess.
- Registrations forms are now available on the CC main website
Please check out this article titled "What is Truth?" I would love to hear your feedback. you can add any comments or questions to the comments below so we can all benefit from the conversation.
Social Media and Marketing
I've been using this web based program www.smore.com to create newsletters to share on social media about upcoming IM's. If you are on Facebook and we're friends, please share on your page. If we're not friends... please friend me! If you're not on Facebook, but have a mom in your community who is and would be willing to be a part of our marketing team, please let me know. I also have .pdf documents available for IM fliers if you're looking for something.
Applications and Contracts
The 2016 applications and contracts are not ready from corporate to be sent out yet. As soon as they are I'll let you all know. Thank you for your patience.
