Testing Dates
April 27,28 - MATH
April 29, 30 SCIENCE (8th Grade only)
STUDENTS MAY NOT HAVE THEIR PHONES DURING TESTING. STUDENTS WILL NEED TO POWER THEIR PHONE OFF AND GIVE IT TO THE PROCTOR PRIOR TO THE TEST.
Testing Do's and Dont's
Do's!
- Get a good night sleep
- Be on time!
- Bring paper, pencils and calculators (for math)
- Bring a book to read
Don't!
- Bring a cell phone - Cell phones are not permitted even if they are off and away. If your son/daughter brings their cell phone, they will need to give it to their proctor prior to starting the test. They will get it back after the test is completed.
- Bring candy/food to eat during the test.
- Be late!
Virtual Students Taking the Test
Student arrival between 8:10a – 8:20a
Students will be dropped off in the back of the school (bus drop off). They will then be escorted to the cafeteria which is directly inside those back doors.
All student MUST BRING THEIR DISTRICT CHROMEBOOK TO TAKE THE TEST
Student pickup
Student pickup will begin at 10:00a in the back of the school but could extend further depending on when your son/daughter finishes the test. If they need extended time, they will continue to take the test after 10:00a until they are finished.
IF YOU ARE CHOOSING TO HAVE YOUR SON/DAUGHTER TAKE THE PSSA TEST, AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR CHROMEBOOK, PLEASE CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY.
PSSA Opt - Out Students
In-person students who have opted to not take the PSSA test will be given enrichment work to do during this time. Students will be given different areas of curriculum each day to work on. If students are present, expectations are that they are quiet working on schoolwork for the duration of the test. If any student is disruptive during this time, there will be disciplinary action.
RULES:
- NO PHONE (phone will be collected by the teacher just like those who are taking the test)
- NO COMPUTER
- NO FOOD
- NO COMPLETING OTHER WORK
Virtual Students who have opted out may pick up an enrichment packet from the front office anytime during PSSA week(s). Otherwise, the time should be used to read.
