What is it??

Eating disorder means that your not happy with your body and you do things to make you lose weight. This is an ongoing thing about 8 million Americans (seven million women and one million men) have an eating disorder.In this flyer I'm going to be teaching you just about anorexia this is one of many types of eating disorder.

What causes Anorexia??

Many things can cause this.

Examples:

    • Low self esteem

    • Fear of becoming overweight

    • Magazines

    • wanting to fit in clothing

Symtoms

If you think someone has Anorexia look for these symptoms listed below.

  • Excessive weight loss

  • Feeling cold especially hands and feet

  • Being secretive about food

Who can get this?

Anyone can get this men or women.but it is mostly females who get this because usually the girls care more about their bodies because they look at magazine that have skinny girls/women on the cover and they want to look just like them because they don't realize that it is photo shopped. What are the treatments?

The are many treatment that could help you overcome Anorexia listed below.

  • Using schedules for eating

  • Get help from a doctor

  • Increasing social activity

Why the treatments help

These treatments help because using a schedule to eat is good because your eating can go back to normal. Getting help from a doctor is good to because they can sign you up for a therapist and the therapist will ask you why you have an eating disorder and who or what made you get that disorder.
