Are you ready for a career change? Have you always wanted to work for a tech company?
Join us for a 2-hour evening startup mixer focused on connecting Capital Factory companies to individuals seeking employment within the Austin tech and startup community. Come meet their budding startups, learn about what opportunities are available, drop off a resume, and grab yourself some food.
Need a ride? No worries! We got you covered. We'll be hosting a shuttle leaving from St. Edward's University at 6:30 p.m. and returning at 9 p.m.

CPAM 1110: Part-Time Jobs to Internships (Fall/Spring)
Part-Time Jobs to Internships is a one hour, for-credit course. This section of CPAM is for students that are employed part-time or have secured part-time employment by the start of this course. Through online instruction, written assignments, online discussions, an individual counseling session, and reflection, students will learn how to use their job responsibilities to further the career discernment process. Students will also learn
how to market skills gained through part-time employment through a resume, LinkedIn profile and social media.

CPAM 1110: Career Management Strategies (Fall/Spring)
Career Management Strategies is a one hour, for-credit course being offered through the Career Planning & Management (CPAM) program administered by Career and Professional Development. This class is designed students seeking career strategies for securing a new job/career. It is structured to help students analyze their unique academic and career situation through hands-on activities and discussion. Emphasis is placed on
identification of individual goals, assessment of talents, exploration of career options, analysis of the job market, effective use of employment search tools (e.g., resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking), and management of career pathways. Students are not required to have a part time job or internship during this course.

CPAM Internship will be completed to strengthen the student’s individual experience and apply key classroom learning in a real world professional setting. The student will earn credit based on the student’s documentation of his/her internship experience, observations, and results informed by their employment experience.
