PCMS WEEKLY UPDATE
December 16, 2016
Next week we say goodbye to the first half of the school year! How crazy does that sound already!?! Our first semester comes to an end on Wednesday, with grade cards being emailed home on January 6. Continue to work with your child on making sure they have everything completed and turned in next week - it’s important they stay focused on finishing the semester strong. As always, please feel free to contact his/her teachers with any questions. As a reminder, Winter Break begins Thursday, December 22 with classes resuming Wednesday, January 4th.
Stay warm and have a safe weekend!
Adjusted Academic Lab Schedule Next Week
Academic Lab will be in session Tues, Dec 20. However, there will be no Academic Lab the morning of Wed, Dec 21.
Important Note to Current 8th Graders from PCHS Counseling Dept.
As midpoint of the 2016-17 school year approaches, PCHS is planning for the 2017-18 school year and would like to invite you and your 8th grade student to attend Curriculum Night ~ Jan 9 at 6:30pm held in the PCHS Wilson Auditorium.
The purpose of Curriculum Night (formerly known as Parent Night) is to allow you to learn about each core class (Language Arts, Math, Science & Social Studies) from the department's perspective. We encourage both the student and parent(s) to attend so that all can receive the information about courses which are offered at Platte County High School. This will greatly assist you and your student in the planning process and in course selection for the 2017-18 school year. If you would like more information, please contact your student's counselor.
