Hanukkah

How is this holiday celabrated
Hanukkah is celebrated from Sunday December 6th,2015 to Monday December 14th, 2015. Everyday they light one of the eight candles to represent the eight days of Hanukkah. Fried foods are always eaten on these days.
What does the flag mean and look like
he most obvious explanation for blue and white Hanukkah colors is the Israeli flag, designed by the Zionist movement in 1891 and officially adopted in 1948. The flag's blue stripes symbolize those found on tallitot, traditional Jewish prayer shawls that are worn at synagogue, bar or bat mitzvahs, and Jewish weddings. So why are there blue stripes on tallitot? According to the Bible, the Israelites were told to dye a thread on their tassels with tekhelet, a blue ink from a sea snail, "so that they may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them."
Hanukkah fun facts
The Menorah is also known as a Hanukiah. Although candles are used today to light the Menorah they used to use oil. The candels are paced from right to left but lit from left to right. Hanukkah is similar to Christmas in that is a time when families gather, share blessings, food, music, and traditions both holidays are rooted in religious belives.

"I Have A Little Dreidel"
I have a little Dreidel is one of a lot of songs from Hanukkah. It is a very lovely song but the people singing it in the video above make it sound crazy!
