First Grade News

Happy New Year and Welcome Back to School!!

Reading testing begins

Reading groups will not be meeting as often due to middle of the year testing. Results will be sent to you at the end of the month when testing and reporting are complete. Please keep reading at home and if you need books, please contact your child's teacher.

Meteorology in Science

We will be learning about air, wind and weather over the next few weeks. Watch the weather reports with your child and talk about how it is important to know what the weather is before you leave for the day!

Language Arts

We will continue to learn about letter writing. Then we start an author study on Pat Mora.
