Recent Honors for Chapel District Elementary School!
Hello, Chapel Families!
We are so excited to share that Chapel District Elementary School has been recognized as a 2022 U.S. World and News BEST Elementary School! CDES placed in the top 30% of Maryland public elementary schools in the state, thus allowing us to receive this prestigious award. We are beyond proud and honored for this distinction and would like to thank our hard working and dedicated Chapel staff, students, families, and community. Without each of you, this would not be possible! WE ARE #CDES STRONG!
In addition, CDES has been nominated as a finalist in APG Chesapeake's Best of the Best Public Schools! The winner will be announced in December. Thank you to all of our Chapel families for voting and recognizing CDES as a finalist!
Lastly, CDES was awarded 7 Badges of Success as a Maryland PBIS School! We are excited to add these recent honors to our past GOLD school awards!
Our Grandparents Club fundraiser (cookies, pies, butter hearts) items will be delivered TODAY! Please be sure to pick up your items from the cafeteria between 2:30-4:30 p.m.
We are accepting donations for our Giving Tree gift card program through November 22nd. We are in need of additional donations! Please reach out to Mrs. Tillman (firstname.lastname@example.org) with questions. Giving Tree donations go directly back to our Chapel families, so thank you for considering donating.
Classroom tree ornaments are due November 30th! Ornaments are for trees that will be auctioned off at our Breakfast with Santa event on December 4th.
We are so thankful for our Chapel staff, students, families, and community! Wishing all of our families a relaxing and safe Thanksgiving. We are truly blessed at CDES because of each of you!
