Ongoing Homework Reminders for this week
Students will have daily assignments.
The long term assignments for the next week are:
Turner's Math: Mon-Thurs Daily HW
Social Studies: Study nightly; eClass discussion "Declaration of Independence" assigned Wednesday 2/1, due 2/8; Revolutionary War Project Due 3/13
Science: Study nightly; eClass discussion will be assigned Wednesday 2/8
Reading: 20 Minutes + Genre Bingo (Due March 9th); Weekly Check in (eClass) due Fridays
General Announcements
- We need donations for our ticket drawing. Please send in items that your child would be excited to get if we call their name.
- Please email us about birthday treats or any other special snacks you plan to send in so we can confirm allergies first.
- Make sure you check our Google Calendar on our website 1-2 times per week.

Reading: We will continue our new Informational Unit in Reading this week! We will be learning about perspective as well as preparing for a debate. Our Genre Bingo Card has started over for this semester on a brand new blue card! Also don't forget that a Reading Check-In on eCLASS is due every Friday under the Third Nine Weeks. The Wordly Wise Quiz for Lesson 10 will be on 2/9 due to the holiday on 2/10.
Writing: We will continue our Informational Writing Unit this week! We will continue drafting our very own Historical Nonfiction books!
Grammar: We will talk about ordering adjectives using a sentence from a book we will read together, George Washington's Teeth.
Spelling: We will start Unit 3.3. The test for this list of words will be on 2/17. Don't forget that you can also access the spelling words on my eCLASS course page.

- Math: DecimalsUnit: Next week we'll dive into decimals. We'll start with modeling them and finding decimals and their related fractions. Additional resources are on our website. Test: TBA
- SS: American Revolution: This will include 6 battles/events and some new vocabulary. . Additional resources may be found on our website! Test: TBA Rev. Project due 1/13. Have your child show you our Google Classroom for full details!
- Science: Sound: We'll explore frequency vs amplitude, and understand soundwaves. Additional resources may be found on our website! Test: TBA
