The News-Leader will be updating photographs of our school buildings in the coming days. We have been notified of the following:
· They will just take outside shots, hopefully without any people, from the sidewalk or the street.
· They will mostly go after 3, but are providing a heads-up, in case you get reports of photographers taking pictures.
Dr. Cooper has created a Who to Call (for Administrators & Supervisors)- the link can be found here. On our website, there has been our organization chart as well as a description of each individual’s position (slight overview) as well for the district to see. This quick resource may better fit your needs. Vanessa Hansen is out of the office until mid Feb. or so. Until she returns, all Employment Coordinator needs for Elementary and Secondary need to be directed to Allyson Peters.
Related to HR - first round/internal postings are up (through Feb 11). If you have any questions, don't hesitate to connect with Liz, Bret or myself.
Enrollment for June and July sessions of Explore begins on Monday, Feb. 5. Training Opportunity: DYSLEXIA – WHAT WE NEED TO KNOW…
Sponsored by M.A.R.R.E (Missouri Association of Reading Recovery Educators)
The MARRE Board is excited to announce that Dr. Linda Dorn will be facilitating a ZOOM meeting on Dyslexia with Missouri teacher leaders and district administrators.
February 26th from 11:00-1:00
Bentley Room 231
The timely conference will help administrators make decisions to meet the criteria of Missouri's dyslexia law. During the one hour presentation, Linda will provide an overview of dyslexia - What is it? What is it NOT?
She will also share screening tool guidelines and an overview of the dyslexia intervention developed by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Center for Literacy.
After Dr. Dorn’s one hour presentation, there will be structured time for
discussion with peers and then additional question/answer time with Dr. Dorn.
We are looking very forward to this wonderful learning opportunity!
Please RSVP to Shelly Shaver, Reading Recovery Teacher Leader and MARRE Board Member, at firstname.lastname@example.org, by February 16th, if you plan to attend. If you have any questions, give her a call at (417) 523-1138.
