Good evening Viper families,

Good evening Viper families,

Student-led conferences are coming up on March 16th and 17th for all students at Vista Magnet. Once again, families have the option to select a virtual conference on Zoom, or an in-person conference on campus at VMMS. Please complete this form to select your conference format by Wednesday, March 2nd. Your Advisory teacher will invite you to a specific conference time in the near future.

8th grade families - The 8th grade panoramic picture will be taken on this Wednesday, March 2nd. All 8th graders will take a class picture together on the field, and you have the option of purchasing the panoramic picture using the order form students received on Friday, and available on our school website. This week we have a minimum day for staff development on Wednesday, March 2nd. All students will be dismissed at 11:30 am on Wednesday, so please plan ahead for student transportation.

The Spring Social is coming up at Vista Magnet on Friday, March 11th from 3:15-4:45 pm. Students may purchase tickets starting next week for $5 in advance, or $7 on the day of the event. We hope all students can join us for this fun event, and parent volunteers can sign up to help using this Spring Social Sign-Up Genius link.

The STEM Maker Lab is back at Vista Magnet! The STEM Maker Lab is an after school class that meets on Thursdays in the library from 3:15-4:45 pm. Students are led by STEM ambassadors from CSUSM and work on hands-on projects like building a fan car, hydraulics, and grabber claws. Interested students can pick up a permission slip in the front office. Space is limited so sign up soon.

Looking ahead, please note that students do not have school on Wednesday, March 9th. This is a professional development day for all VUSD staff, so no students will be on campus on that day.

Last week we had 2 individuals at our school who tested positive for COVID-19. Staff members and students who may have come into close contact with the individual(s) have already received a separate communication from school staff. Students who are absent due to a COVID related situation should refer to our Student Quarantine Instructions to stay up to date with their classwork.

COVID testing sites are available at a variety of locations in our school district. Please see these flyers for more information: Testing Centers - English

We encourage everyone who is eligible to get the COVID vaccination, which is available free at the Vista Innovation Center every weekday. Please see these flyers for more information:
