From Our New Principal Mr. Stevens
I hope your summer is going well! My name is Brian Stevens and I am the new Principal at Westbrook Elementary starting the 22-23 school year. This will be my 13th year in Westside Community Schools, but my first as a Westbrook Wildcat. I am excited and eager to get the school year started. As I have begun working with staff and parents at Westbrook, I am quickly realizing the strong sense of pride that exists here. This community is committed to student success. There has already been a lot of work put in by staff and parents this summer to make sure your students are continuing to get a great education at Westbrook. I am looking forward to supporting that work and helping every student succeed.
I am also thrilled to share that Kira Mclean has joined our staff as the Assistant Principal. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Westbrook. Please don't hesitate to reach out to Kira or myself if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. We are here to help and support you and your student(s).
Go Wildcats!
Brian Stevens

Breakfast and Lunch at Westbrook will continue to be free for all students since Westbrook qualifies for federal community eligibility provisions. However, we request that you still complete the above application if it applies to your household. Having an accurate count of students who qualify will continue to provide us federal grant opportunities to support our students.
Meet Our Family Facilitator...
Greetings Wildcat families!
I am so excited to be a part of the Westbrook community as your new family facilitator! Prior to this position, I worked here as a fifth grade teacher for two years and am so grateful to be staying at our amazing school in my new role. I will be available for any questions at my email ibarra.genoveva@westside66.net or you can join me for a lunch meetup! I will be hosting a lunch where you can bring your students for pizza and also any questions you may have for me or about the upcoming school year. You are more than welcome to join on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Westbrook Elementary School from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. I can't wait to see you there!

Attention Fifth Grade Students and Parents:
You are invited to BE A PART OF THE MUSIC! This fall, you will have the opportunity to do what so many successful students have done before you by being a part of Band and Strings! In the first three weeks of school we will be visiting all the buildings, demonstrating the instruments, and giving students the opportunity to select an instrument of their choice. We will have a parent meeting about our program on Tuesday, August 30 at 6:30 p.m. at Westside Middle School. All are welcome to attend to learn about elementary instrumental music and meet the teachers. We are excited to introduce your child to the world of instrumental music!

W-CLUB: JOIN TODAY
