All Things Baker!
Principal's Message!
Enthusiasm was the concept that hit me this week as I watched kindergarteners create Humpty Dumpty stories exploring why he actually fell, or 2nd graders inferring what characters in their books were motivated by, or 4th graders deciding how their writing could best "hook" an audience! If we define enthusiasm as intense and eager enjoyment, interest, or approval, I can find no better example than our family at Baker. The fervor with which our kiddos approach their learning, is infectious! I am inspired daily by the exuberance that I see in students and staff as we start the day together. I can truly say there is no place that I would rather be. When you are surrounded by folks that are eager to learn, eager to share, eager to grow, eager to collaborate, and eager to support each other, the sky's the limit! Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." That sentiment is contagious here and is one of the many things that makes Baker Elementary School, Where Kindness is King . . . Simply the Best!
I also want to note one more time how thankful we all were for Sweets for the Staff! Thank you to the PTO for manning the teacher's lounge all day to make sure we were taken care, thank you for all of the yummy donations, and just thank you for your support! We love you all!!
SIncerely,
Danielle Wallace
