Grace & Courtesy Emphasis

Throughout the school year, Ellis has a school-wide focus on specific positive character traits. Each teacher may choose to highlight these "Grace & Courtesy" emphases differently, but as a school we follow a general common curriculum.

From September 19th-October 7th, our school-wide Grace & Courtesy emphasis is CREATIVITY.

The language for identifying/naming creativity in "The Self-Awakened Child" series by Jonathan Wolff

  • When I do something in my own special way, I am being creative.
  • When I make something new that no one has ever made before, I am being creative.
  • When I find a way to help myself or someone else fix a problem, I am being creative.

Parent Volunteer(s) Needed for LMTAC

The Library Media Technology Advisory Committee (LMTAC) is "A media committee that makes recommendations and decisions related to planning, operation, evaluation and improvement of the media program. This committee shall annually evaluate media services and develop a multi-year media plan for budget and services priorities." (GADOE Rule 160-4-4-.01)

The LMTAC will be having a virtual meeting on October 13th from 3:15-4:15pm via Zoom (for parent convenience) and Ms. Lisa needs one or two parent volunteers to join the committee. The LMTAC is required by the State of Georgia to meet twice a school year. We will only meet more than twice if a situation arises that necessitates a meeting.

If you have questions or are interested in joining the Ellis LMTAC, please contact Ms. Lisa (lisa.odonnell@sccpss.com).
