Warrior News
A Weekly Newsletter for Warrior Families and Students
March 13, 2020
Hi All,
I understand that the first thing on everyone’s hearts and minds is information about COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and our school closure. Please know that we have been working diligently as a staff and we are fully prepared to meet the learning needs of our students as we navigate through this unprecedented situation.
Students will be communicated with directly from each teacher. Learning opportunities and expectations will be shared out via Google classroom. Additionally, our teachers will be accessible for virtual support during our typical building hours of 7:10-3:10. Important learning opportunities and valuable feedback will continue to be provided throughout this time and we appreciate your support in helping our students dedicate time to fully engage in this work.
All updates and additional information about the school closing will come directly from Dr. Thompson and our district nurse Tracy Staudacher. This will help to ensure that all communication is timely and aligned for families with students in multiple buildings in the MNSD.
We truly appreciate your continued support and partnership. There are so many reasons to be proud of our community and I am confident that the times ahead will again exemplify our strength and what it means to be a Warrior.
Take care.

6th Academic and Career Planning (ACP) Day!
This week, students participated in their 6th Academic and Career Planning (ACP) Day! Our Warriors had the chance to prioritize what they would look for in a future career by completing Priority Pyramids. This activity prepared students for our upcoming Career Fair on April 22nd where they will have the chance to explore careers of interest and start thinking about what careers might fit their top priorities. The ACP lesson can be found here.
WarriorBots were in the third alliance and made it to a tiebreaker round in the quarterfinals. This is the farthest that the team has ever advanced and we are so happy.
Thank you to all of our sponsors for supporting us. Thank you to parents for feeding us, driving us, and supporting us. Finally, thank you to our mentors for teaching us how to build, create, and thrive. It is because of all of us that the team was able to achieve this feat.
The WarriorBots have won the UL Safety Award and the Entrepreneurship Award at the Northern Lights Regional competition in Duluth, MN. We are very excited and proud of our business and safety teams for helping us get to this point.
Congrats to Emi for an amazing finish to a tremendous gymnastics season!
