Dealey Dragon Update

May 2017

Message from the Principal

Hello Dealey Parents!

We are in the final stretch! Please see the calendar of events below. There are lots of exciting things happening at Dealey this month.

As we close out the school year, the two most popular questions are when will we receive our school supply lists and when will we find out the class placements for next year.

Our school supply lists will be posted on the Dealey website by the beginning of June at Class assignment postcards will be sent in early June as well. I know you are excited to learn your class assignment, but please be patient with us as we go through this process. We need to consider many factors when building our classes for the following year and do the best we can to create well-rounded classrooms.

We are very excited to announce our first round of STAAR scores. We saw improvements in both grade levels with the number of students who scored at the advanced level. You can see passing and advanced percents below. We look forward to announcing more positive results at the end of May.

As we wrap up this last month of school, I would like to thank you for making this year absolutely fantastic. I feel like the luckiest principal around to have such great parents and students.

Thank you for all you do!
