As soon as we have information on when and where BCPS employees can start receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, we will pass it on to you. We are working closely with the Burke County Health Department and Carolina HealthCare System Blue Ridge and hope to have more information soon. Burke County has vaccinated health care workers and long term-care staff and residents. The county is currently vaccinating adults 65 and older. Those in education are considered frontline essential workers and are the next group to be vaccinated.
