Christmas Jumper Day
The last day of term, Wednesday 20th December, will be a non-uniform day with the theme of Christmas jumpers to raise money for charity.
Wisepay is now open for donations. Alternatively, students can bring in cash on the day. The money will go towards a charity chosen by the majority of the students in the school, and will be announced nearer the time once the votes have been counted.
Christmas Lunch
If your child has free school meals and would like a Christmas meal please reply to the Google form that was sent out on Friday 10th November.
An alternative menu will be provided on both days, in the dining room extension, for those not having a Christmas meal.
What's Been Happening This Week in Tutor Time?
This week in tutor time our students in Years 7 - 11 have been continuing to look at the 5 Ways to Wellbeing related to the elements of Keep Learning, linked to keeping safe online.

The Year 11 assembly this week was sharing the rewards available to Year 11, including details about the Prom. For all other year groups the assemblies focused on the schools sixth form and the opportunities available to students.

Year 11 Drama - Reminder
On Wednesday 29th November, the final Component 1 Evaluation controlled assessment is taking place in O19 during Periods 3 & 4. Students are reminded that they need to submit their improved evaluation notes on Satchel One by the day before in order for them to be printed ready for the assessment the following day.
This is the actual exam, so the work will be submitted towards your final grade.

Hair and Beauty Club
The Vocational Area will be running a Hair and Beauty Club, Thursday lunchtimes in T10 for Year 9 students.
We will be running workshops and skill sets until February half term. Please contact Mr Nolan for more information.
Science Revision Guides, Workbooks and Cards
Science revision resources are now available to purchase via Wisepay for GCSE and KS3 students. Once purchased please bring a printout of the receipt to Mrs Wade in the Science office between 8.30am and 12.30pm, Monday to Friday.
We feel that these resources will help to support your child’s GCSE Science studies and prepare them for their final exams. Thank you for your continued support.

PE Fixtures - w/c 27th November
Please Note:
- Fixtures are subject to change.
- Students must check the team sheets on the notice boards in PE to check team and confirm timings.
Unfortunately we are no longer able to have parents come into school to watch their children in sporting fixtures. We appreciate this is very disappointing for both students and parents, however, we must adhere to the stringent safeguarding guidance given to us. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Examination Invigilators Required
We are looking to create a pool of invigilators to work during the examination periods.
The task of the invigilation team is to assist the Examinations Officer to ensure the smooth running of all examinations, so that the students can perform as well as they are able.
The successful candidates will be discreet, able to respect confidentiality and work within a team. Punctuality, reliability and flexibility are essential.
We are looking for any-one who is able to offer their time throughout the year.
If you are interested in working within the school, assisting with this very important part of the student’s academic achievements, then please contact the Exams Office on 01245 440232 or exams@chelmer.essex.sch.uk as soon as possible.
The position currently pays £11.59 per hour.

Lead Invigilator - Required as soon as possible
